Windows 10: is there a way to make the volume slider adjust in increments of 1 instead of 2?

the lowest volume setting my computer can do is 2. this is annoying.

Can you adjust volume by increments of 1 with the buttons?

I know you can set the volume to anything if you change it with the volume mixer or slider, but is there a way to set it so that using the physical button/keyboard shortcut adjust the volume by 1 instead of by 2? Having to use the slider every time I change
the volume when the button is right there is pretty annoying, but when only using even numbers one is always too quiet, and the next one up is uncomfortably loud..

On a Toshiba laptop right now - If I click the volume icon in the system tray, the slider appears. While that slider is visable I can use the mouse wheel to move the slider in 2% increments, or I can use the keyboard up/down arrows to move the slider in
1% increments.

 

Problem when adjusting volume

When I try to adjust the volume either using my headset or my keyboard there is always a slight delay in the adjustments, and it only adjusts in increments of two. This leads to the volume going all the way up to 100 after I held the button or switch on
my keyboard or headset respectively for approx. 1-2 seconds. Is there a way to make the volume adjustments more "responsive"?
