Windows 10: Is there a way to make Windows more efficient when processing folders with many files?

I have a folder with 35,000 video frames that I'm processing frame by frame. I'm doing it in batches because the total processing time is over 50 hours.

Each time I finish a batch I simply want to sort the folder by date and copy the processed images to a new folder. Windows 10 appears to be grossly inefficient never completing the task of a simple sort even if I leave it for 10 minutes. Is there a way of making windows capable of sorting a large folder with a little tweak?

At the moment I have to reboot into my dual boot linux partition where sorting and copying the files over is trivial and very fast. I would rather do it without rebooting into another OS!

Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.
