Windows 10: Is there a way to make Windows open whatever app/folder/settings in the current active...

Hi,

In Windows 10, anything you open, will show up in the monitor that was closed in the last time, so:

• if you open File Explorer in Monitor-1
  
• drag it to monitor-2
• close it (while being in monitor-2)
• 
  then open it again.
  
  
• 
  no matter which Monitor you do the action from (1 or 3) it will always open in Monitor-2 because that was the last place it was used on.
  

And this is soooo frustrating, and it's ridiculous that this hasn't been addressed, So I desperately come here looking for a solution, it doesn't matter if its a native one or a premium app, all i want is when i right click in the desktop and choose Display Settings while being on my 4k TV which is on the opposite direction of the 2 other monitors, I want the Display settings to appear on the screen in which the action was executed from.

So please save me from this nonesense.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Split Steam app folder between 2 HDD?

As the title suggests I want to find out if there's a way I can split my steam app folder on to 2 drives, specifically an SSD that I will be putting my OS and most used games and apps and a regular HDD for everything else?

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
