  1. Is there a way to "mark" files?

I downloaded a lot of mp3 files that I'm going to listen through, but I find it really difficult to keep track of where I last was, for example if I'm on episode 23, and I come back a week later I won't remember where I was and I will have to go through a few of them before I find where I was.

I guess I could rename the files, or make a notepad that says where I was, but is there a different way to mark the files?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    Extracting Zip Files

Thanks pyramid10 for your contribution, I ensured that the steps taken and the source and destination folders were the same, in the using zip7 as suggested by BunnyJ resolved all issues for me.
I am the first to admit that I am a long long way from understanding the intricacies of computers and if truth be told I am now to old anyway to absorb much information.
    Cheers.
