    Is there a way to move the location of where Windows is stored on a PC?


    I might consider buying a NVME SSD in the near future here since they are small and so much faster than normal SSDs. My Windows operating system is stored on a standard SSD currently. Is there any way to move the operating system locations to a different drive? I want a different boot location which would be on a NVME SSD if I get one and would eventually make it my main drive on my pc since how fast it is. Is it possible to move the Windows OS onto a different drive? Thanks.I am a bit familiar with the Windows media creation tool so I would assume I might need that again.

    Windows store Cant change default location

    Im trying to download games from the Windows Store/Xbox App but cant install them onto my games hard drive because its not listed in the drop down menu or any other menu choices in the storage settings. The drive works and is listed in "This PC" and in Disk Management.
    I have an SSD installed specifically for games and want to install the games onto it. Here is a screenshot with the games drive (G) not listed.

    We suggest that you reset the Windows Store and see if it resolves the issue. To reset Windows Store, follow the steps below:

    • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run window.
    • Type the following command:
      • wsreset.exe

    • Wait for it to finish, then restart your PC.

    This issue may occur due to corrupt Windows store cache.

    I suggest you to follow the methods below:

    Method 1

    I would suggest you to reset Windows store cache
    and check. Please follow these steps:

    a. Press Windows + R keys to open run
    window.

    b. Type the following command in run and press Enter.

    wsreset.exe

    Method 2

    I suggest you to run the Windows store app troubleshooter and check if it helps:

    1. Type control panel in the search box.

    2. Click on troubleshooting in the control panel.

    3. Click view all.

    4. Click Windows store apps.

    5. Follow on screen instruction.

    Method 3

    Make sure that “Allow apps to use my location” option is enabled. Follow these steps to enable it.

      Press the “Windows + W”.
      Then type “Allow apps to use my location” without quotes in the search box and hit ENTER.
      Turn on “Allow apps to use my location”.
      Then turn on “Let apps use my location” option.
