Windows 10: Is There a Way to Prevent Copilot from Pausing When She Detects Input? Voice Mode Issue

Hello, I've been using Copilot's voice mode and have come across a recurring issue that affects how she functions in my setup. Whenever she's speaking, she detects any sound including my own voice picked up by the microphone and stops speaking immediately. This happens even when it's her voice being played back through my speakers, causing an unintended feedback loop where she interrupts herself repeatedly. It becomes quite difficult to understand what she's saying since she pauses so frequently. I understand that this feature is likely meant to avoid overlapping voices or interruptions, but

Voice Recorder Keeps Pausing

this didnt work.

The voice recorder worked before the recent update, after the Surface updated the recorder now automatically pauses when minimized. i followed the above steps and it continues to pause. I lost very important lectures due to this problem and ridiculous automatic
updates.

I should have gone with an Apple product.

 

None of the methods to disable Copilot work, can't even hide it

You may try the below suggested steps to disable Input Indicator.

1. Press Windows and
   I key on your keyboard > Click on Personalization.
   
2. Click on Taskbar.
   
3. Click on Turn system icons on or off
   under Notification area.
   
4. Move the slider to off next to
   Input indicator and check the status of the issue.
