Windows 10: Is there a way to put my PC in sleep mode without my ethernet turning off?

I'm trying to AFK something with a macro by putting my pc in Sleep mode, but when I do, my ethernet turns itself off, which I do not want it to do as the thing I am AFKing requires internet access. Is there a way to put my PC in Sleep mode without my ethernet turning off? If so, any help is appreciated.

I see that you system is still on even if the sleep mode option is turned on. This might be due to the change in the power plan settings.

Please follow the below methods and check if it works,

Method 1: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting on the left pane, click on
  View All.
• Click on Power to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Type Power Options and then Enter.
• In the left pane Select Change when the computer sleeps.
• Select Restore default settings on this plan.
• Restart the computer and check with the issue.

Computer kinda turns off when it sleeps, and internet (Ethernet cable) cuts out.

I get that thanks. But I think I explainbed it wrong. I dont press the button and it sleeps, it just turns off, when it should just sleep. Then its in sleep mode. But I have to press the power button to turn it on. And then my ethernet is also disconnected.
heres a step by step of it

1. Looks to be asleep, but no colour on pc (like when its off)

2. Press power button. Activates normally at the login screen and my stuff is there (like when it sleeps)

3. Ethernet disconnected, must reconnect 2 times.

Why does this happen? my sleep settings dont say anything to act like this
