Windows 10: Is there a way to recover data that includes hard links?

Looks like I'm going to have to replace a storage device i.e., hard drive on one of my Windows computers. The partition in question uses NTFS format. I use this computer primarily for processing photographs which includes developing raw files and producing a variety of image files for selected pictures. The partition occupies about 1TB of storage of which almost half i.e., 500GB is used.When it comes to organizing the pictures, I use the term gallery to refer a collection of different pictures. I have lots of different galleries and any given pictures can appear in multiple galleries.

How can I recover the data from hard disk?

Hello Friends, yesterday while working on my PC suddenly all of my data lost. I was downloading something from the internet and the system suddenly got shut down, after that when I restarted the system there was some error and the system could not start properly. I really want that data as its very important to me. Can anyone suggest me about how to recover the lost data from the hard disk?

Can I recover data from my hdd if it shows Incorrect Function? Can I still recover even if I tried diskpart clean but wasn't able to create partition primary.

As you said above, the disk unknown not initialized issue usually occurs unexpectedly in all the Windows versions, including Windows 10, 8, and 7, and it annoys users. When the issue occurs, your external hard drive may show "unallocated space" or nothing about the disk capacity in Disk Management, so you cannot open and access the data on this disk.

Thus, to fix the disk not initialized, you need to:

• Initialize the hard drive
  
• Recover data from the disk and create new volumes
  
• Partition and format the disk to make it ready for data storage
  

This is the easiest way to fix the disk unknown not initialized issue. This also works to initialize a brand-new hard drive.

Step 1. Right-click "My Computer" > "Manage" to run Disk Management.

Step 2. Here, right-click the hard drive and click "Initialize Disk".

Step 3. In the dialogue box, select the disk(s) to initialize and choose MBR or GPT partition style.

After initializing the disk, you can now recover data from your disk. Based on your needs, you can recover data only from the disk or recover both the partitions and the files.
