Windows 10: Is there a way to save monitor display settings and save as a shortcut to easily switch...

I have two external monitors connected to my laptop. While I am sitting at my desk, screen 1 is on the left, screen 2 is on the right. But I can turn the monitors in a different orientation to use with my treadmill desk. When they turned towards the treadmill, screen 1 is now on the right, and screen 2 is on the left. Is there any way to save the two different monitor display settings and assign it to a keyboard short cut, so I can easily switch between display settings, when I go back and forth from the treadmill to my sitting desk? It would be cumbersome to have to reset the display settings

Display settings not saving with multiple monitors

Hi,

I have 3 monitors

1. 144hz 1080p monitor (my main display)

2. 1080p monitor

3. 4k 55" TV as third monitor

Every other time I reboot, my display settings reset. I have the resolution on the first 2 monitors set to 1080p, and the third monitor set to 4k native. Windows defaults to the 4k TV as the main monitor when my settings reset, so I have to change that,
change my main monitor back to 144hz, my desktop icons randomize over the desktop monitors and other settings I have. Is there a way to fix this so that the settings save every time?

Saving Multiple Display Settings

Hello Mike,

You can change the default display settings from Display
settings. Make sure that you're on the main screen before following the steps below.

• Click the Start button.
• Go to Settings > System > Display.
• Set Multiple displays to Duplicate these displays.
• Click Keep changes to save the changes.

The display settings could not be saved Windows 10 64-bit

I have had 3 monitors connected and my desktop extended for months with no issues. This morning one was marked as disconnected and when I try to extend the display, I get the message "The display settings could not be saved. Please try a different combination
of display settings."

So far I have tried the following with no change:

• Switching cables
• Switching ports on my GPU
• Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter
• Updating to the latest nvidia drivers
• Updating windows
• Updating the monitor drivers

Please help if you can,
