  1. Is there a way to save Snip Pictures in a folder when using the shortcut Key?

Everytime I use the Snip shortcut key Windows + Shift + S, it'll snip the image, copy to the clipboard. So when I do open the clipboard and press on the image, it goes away. Is there a way to snip pictures and just save it into a folder like how you would with screenshots when pressing Win+ Prnt Scrn?

I have to actually go into the Snip app and then click on the snip option to snip something, and then save it to a folder.

    Save As To Pictures Folder

    -- rwmol

    Welcome to tenforums.

My PC on the left panel of the dialogue box is expandable. Whichever folder you choose to save the 'snip' to, its contents will be on the right panel of the dialogue box. And the folder will be remembered for the next 'snip' whenever the desired target folder is changed.

  3. Windows Snipping Tool shortcut not working

The Win + Shift + S snipping tool shortcut opens up the widget but does not save the snip or open the editor, however the snipping app itself works correctly when opened up. The registry correctly points to user pictures folder; I took these images
    and description of the problem
using Win + PrtScn which works just fine. Suggestions would be appreciated as I'd rather not run extra 3rd party software to do something windows is supposed to do natively. Thanks!

Is there a way to save Snip Pictures in a folder when using the shortcut Key?

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
