Windows 10: Is there a way to scale programs beyond their designated limits?

Hello, I was just wondering if there is a way to disable scaling limits on applications. What I mean by this is lets say you open a new browser tab, and you aren't fullscreened. Yet you can only make the program so skinny and so short before it stops letting you shrink it. I'm assuming this is to preserve image quality, but I don't care about image quality. By the looks of it, different software have different limits. This has been a big problem for a while,. I wish to have a 2x2 grid of applications on my screen, But I can only do this on 2k monitors or above. I am on a Windows 10 Home laptop

With my new computer, the scaling in this program is off. If I adjust the scaling through windows10 it throws every other program off. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can try adjusting only the scaling used by that program. To do that, you can use the properties on the shortcut icon. This is slightly tricky depending on where the icon is, so here's some variations of the same:

If the icon for this program is on your taskbar:

• Right-click the taskbar icon to show the menu
• Near the bottom of that menu, just above the "pin/unpin" option, find the program's name and right-click it

If the icon for this program is on your Start menu:

• Right-click the program icon
• Choose More > Open File Location (this will open a File Explorer window)
• Inside the File Explorer, find the program's icon again (it will probably already be highlighted), and right-click it and choose Properties

If the icon for this program is on your desktop:

• Right-click the program icon and choose Properties

No matter what method you used above, you should now have a Properties dialog box open. Go to the Compatibility tab to find the scaling options. Note that if you have installed the latest updates to Windows 10, there are extra scaling options to choose
among. You may need to try them all to find the one that works best for that particular program.

 

custom scaling documents for printing in windows 10.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

1. Press control key + p.

2. Now select the number of pages you want to scale while printing.

3. Click apply.

4. Now click on print.
