Windows 10: Is there a way to set the size of icons and text in Windows 10

Hi forum,


I have a new desktop with Windows 10 installed. My old desktop was on Windows 7, then upgraded to Windows 10 and things on the screen looked the same.


This new desktop has Windows 10, but everything is smaller and hard to read. My old desktop had the icons and fonts larger - I was able to set them in Display in Windows 7 before it was upgraded - I chose the screen size and the fonts were S, M & L. It kept those same setting after the Windows 10 upgrade.


I don't see any option to do that. Is there any way to make everything larger?

Size of TEXT on the Desktops. NOT size of icons) but size of TEXT TEXT TEXT

Please follow below steps to change the size of text:

• In the search bar, look for Display settings, then click it.
• A pop up will appear showing the Display settings.
• Click on the scale to change the size of text, apps and other items.

Font and Icon size

• Which build version of Windows 10 is on your computer? To check, click
  Start, type winver, and press Enter. For example, 14393.1066.
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

As initial recommendation, we suggest following these steps to change the icon size:

• Right-click on an empty space on your desktop.
• Select View.
• Choose Medium icons or Small icons, whichever you prefer more.
  

Additionally, you can change the display size of texts and other items by following these steps:

• Right-click on an empty space on your desktop.
• Click Display settings.
• Under Change the size of text, apps, and other items, drag the slider over to 100%.
  
• If the slider is already on 100%, click Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, choose the Recommended option from the drop-down choices.

Icon & text size
