Windows 10: is there a way to update from windows 10 home to window 10 pro?

To be honest with you I brought my desktop under the assumption that when it said it came with windows 10 that it came with windows 10 pro. It came with windows 10 home. Using windows 10 home is like having an unstable, toxic partner. They're fine until you ask them to do anything, then they stop doing anything at all and make it your fault. OR they stick you in a cycle of something that is entirely unhelpful but that you can't get out of. Like no windows 10 home, forced password expiration every 90 days makes no sense because no security expert worth their money would ever recommend it but le

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
