  2. Windows Explorer high CPU Usage in Windows 10

    Hi Andrew,

Usually, too many background processes can boost your CPU usage. Since you already disabled the apps that are not necessary on startup,
we suggest checking the applications running once you have successfully boot Windows 10. To do this, simply follow the steps below:

    • Click on the Start button and type Task Manager on the search box.
    • On the Task Manager window, you should see the programs running.
    • Click on the More details drop-down button to see the total number of apps running and their real-time CPU usage.

From there, you should see what applications are running on high CPU usage. You can also
restart the Windows Management Instrumentation service and see if your CPU performance will improve. Follow the instructions below to restart the service:

    • Click on the Start button and type Services.
    • Scroll down the list and look for Windows Management Instrumentation.
    • Right click on it and select Restart.

Should you have further questions, please let us know.

  3. Windows Explorer high CPU Usage in Windows 10

To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest checking the Task Manager again to see what are the
applications that have high CPU usage. To do this, follow the same steps you did from the previous reply:

    • Click on the Start button and type Task Manager on the search box.
    • On the Task Manager window, you should see the programs running.
    • Click on the More details drop-down button to see the total number of apps running and their real-time CPU usage.

However, based on your response above, it seems that you may need to create a new user account again and just install your apps manually instead of copying them as your
previous user account might be corrupted.

Once your done with the steps, please let us know how it goes.

CPU usage up to 100% with any app that i start

    Hi, Patishi

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It sounds like you've already tried a number of troubleshooting steps to resolve the high CPU usage on your Windows 10 LTSC 2019 system. Here are a few more suggestions that might help:

1.Check for Malware: Even though you've disabled Windows Defender, it's possible that your system could be infected with malware that's causing high CPU usage. Try running a full system scan with a reputable antivirus program.

    2. Update Drivers: Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause high CPU usage. Make sure all your drivers, especially the BIOS, chipset and graphics drivers, are up to date.

    3. Resource Monitor: Use the Resource Monitor (you can access it by typing resmon into the Start menu) to get more detailed information about which processes are using the CPU.

    4. Background Services: Some services running in the background may cause high CPU usage. You can try performing a clean boot to see if the issue persists. This will start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

Disclaimer:These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.

If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards
