  1. Is there an easy way to change Default File Associations?

I'm trying to change Windows 11's default Notepad app to Notepad++. I changed the default App in Settings > Apps > Default apps > Notepad. Changing the Default App for each file listed under the Notepad app, everything is good.I looked into the files under the Excel App, and I see ".oqy" and ".rqy" that are still linked to the original Notepad App.I want every file linked to the original Notepad App to now be linked to Notepad++. Is there an easy way to make sure every file changes? Or do I have to go through every App, one by one, file by file, to make sure all file types change?Than

Restore Default File Type Associations in Windows 10

Not sure why the suggested that there either since .zip is not listed by default. The easiest way is to use the "Open with" context menu to change the association for .zip.

    Hi Fred,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

To assist you better, please provide the information:

When you say that "Default Program Associations", are you referring to the list of default applications in default programs settings?
