    Is there any tool that scans CBS.log and DISM.log and deliver a report?


    Hey


    The CBS.log and DISM.log is quite good info about whats going on in your system.

    However, its near impossible to know what, if anything, to do about things in the logs.


    For example. After running

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    And

    SFC /SCANNOW

    The powershell windows reports all ok. But the logs DO NOT. For example, several core packages reports having doubble active files.

    I dont know if thats something to ignore, or a quite large problem Is there any tool that scans CBS.log and DISM.log and deliver a report? :p.


    Is there any tool, that scans these 2 logs and creates some sort of a report?

    No problems have been found by the DISM tool. Why did you think you needed to run the tool? Please describe your problem.

    dism log

    I did a repair install and ran an sfc /scannow to see if there are still some corrupt files and it reported it found some. When I ran dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth it got stuck at 96.6% because of error 1726 .

    CBS log file translation


    As far as I know, Most people don't have the same problem as you do so there must be something wrong with your Windows.
    If you wish, you can try:
    1. Run: chkdsk /r C: ====> this will take a while, /r will scan the disk surface and mark all bad sectors so Windows will avoid using them.
    2. Delete everything under: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
    3. Run: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup ===> Clean up all old components store, advisable after every cummulative updates. This will free up disk storage space.
    4. Run: sfc /scannow

    The result should look as follows:
