    Is there any way for Windows 10 to switch off my RGB gaming keyboard lights on boot up?


    I've recently received a Redragon S101 gaming keyboard for my Birthday.

    When I switch on my PC the lights on the keyboard start going through a flashing cycle.

    I really don't use the lights and find them quite distracting. Therefore I have to press FN and the down key three times to switch them off.

    However when I power off the PC and boot up again. The lights come back on again and I have to manually turn them off again.

    Unfortunately as the keyboard does not come with any software I just wondered if there was anyway in Windows 10 of disabling these lights rather than going through this process every time?

    I did try to create an .exe file using Tiny Task to record me pressing the FN and the down key three times and I was going to put this in the windows startup folder to run at boot up. However this did not work as the software does not seem to recognize the FN key being pressed.

    B-b-but, then how would we be able to brandish our peripheral epeens if all those ghetto plebeians could afford it?!

    On a more serious note, there have people clamoring for years for full RGB lighting on mechanical keyboards but the response was that there wasn't a way to fit three LEDs onto such keys. Now there is. So the price premium isn't unexpected. There are still plenty of (relatively) more affordable mechanical keyboards out there without the RGB lights bringing up the cost.

    Also, it should be noted that the K70 RGB lacks the USB passthrough feature that the original K70 (non-RGB) had.

    Keyboard not working during boot

    Hi all,

    I have windows 7 installed on a ssd, and the boot time is quick! however Im wondering if its too quick, as the lights on the keyboard dont come on until im into windows, so I cant access the bios, I bought a cheap keyboard to make sure my ms sidewinder x4 wasnt broke.

    Any suggestions?
