    I see a lot of posts for people asking for ways to control download times for updates in Windows 10 or 11, but no answers. There are millions of users who have limited bandwidth during the day, but unlimited during late night/early morning hours. Surely there is a way to control when updates download, right?Possible ways to control this:Just specify a window for update download hours this seems simplestFor network settings where we can set a particular network to be Metered, some way to set the TIME of it being metered metered during the day, unmetered late night.     Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    To automatically download Windows update, follow the steps:

    1. Press Windows key + R to open the run command. Type "control update" and Click Enter.

    2. Click Change Settings and then click in the Important Updates list box Download updates but let me choose when to install them.


    3. Choose Install Updates: Everyday and at the specified time.

    NOTE: You need to make sure that your system is switched on and connected to the internet during the specified time.
