Windows 10: Is there ANY way to change the icon for the windows PHOTO APP that appears in my taskbar

So here is the crazy thing - i managed to change icons for all the other apps in my taskbar by creating a shortcut first, changing the icon of the shortcut, and then pinning the shortcut to the taskbar. Although I CAN create a shortcut of the photos app and change its icon on my DESKTOP, if I then pin that shortcut to the taskbar the taskbar shows the default Windows Photo app icon blue mountain even though the desktop shortcut still shows the new icon image I selected. IS THERE ANY WAY TO CHANGE THE PHOTOS APP ICON THAT SHOWS IN THE TASKBAR? thank you and happy holidays.

The 'Photos' app for photo viewing has disappeared.

To better assist you, let us know if the app shows up when you type "photos" in the search bar.

If that doesn't help, I would suggest you to try opening any photo by following the steps below:

1. Right click on a photo and select open with.

2. From the available options, if "photos" is listed, select it.

3. Once you open the photo through the app, the icon will appear on the taskbar.

4. Right click on the icon in the taskbar and see if you are able to pin it to the taskbar.

If that doesn't help, check if you are able to download the app through Windows store.

NIGHTMARE icon in windows taskbar

Ok ... this is really an annoying thingy in Windows Vista that till today. My top wish list is to solve this !!! *Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:

See attached pic ... for eg. open My Computer ... icon is of course as shown - the My Computer default Vista icon ... after you browse? *swoosh* kind of black magic ... it changes to that icon with the green arrow ... browsing back to My Computer it remains like that ... with the green arrow!!!

This happens to any and all folders ! ... When you load it ... it comes up with the default folder ... after exporing through folder it changes ... and remains like that.

For info : have tried a fresh installation of Vista to make sure that no bug got in. So must be some DAMN Vista settings

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
