At present, the currency calculator does not go beyond the default 2 decimal places. This creates a lot of problems calculating cryptocurrencies. I changed the "No of digits after decimal" to 9 under "currency" and "additional settings", but it still stays at 2. Eg: it will stay at default 0.00. To calculate crypto, I need it to go till at least 8 decimals. Thus it ought to be 0.00000001. Is there any way to do this?

    :)

  2. Calculator currency convertor not working

Windows 10 Calculator will take me to the Currency Convertor but no currencies are displayed and I cannot enter any numbers. Presumably I have disabled an important permission. Can anyone point in the direction of what needs to be enabled?

    Apologies for missing that.

  3. Currency conversion in Windows Calculator and other Currency Conversions Apps do not work

The currency conversion tool n the Windows Calculator stopped working on around 04/02/2020.

I've found that other currency conversion apps will not work. They seem to have trouble accessing the internet.

There isn't an issue with the firewall.

Have run SFC that does not report a problem,

but one diagnostic test run through Power Shell suggests a number of issues around .xml files or .edb files that may have been moved or no longer exist, or won't update because a superseded version exists.

I have tried both a reset, and then a complete uninstall and reinstall of the calculator and the other apps and there is no difference.

Changing the numbering system in the calculator

I discovered the following settings page not long ago for a different issue. But I noted that it had settings for numbering. You could try:

Control Panel > Clock & Region > Region > Additional Settings > change the Digit Grouping > Apply > OK

I tested that setting on my Win 10 PC changing the calculator from U.S. digit grouping (100,000,000) to Indian digit grouping (10,00,00,000) and back again.
