Windows 10: Is there any way to enable a Windows 10 WiFi Device Driver to work on a Win 8.1 system?

For reasons that remain obscure my Windows 8.1 system won't upgrade to Windows 10, despite having no obvious incompatibilities.I have bought a new dlink WiFi dongle that uses a Win10 driver.I have downloaded the driver OK, but it isnt recognised on my Win 8.1 system.I can see the WiFi device in the device manager but when I open properties it says that 'no driver available".Is there a way of installing selected enabling-portions of Windows 10, so that the driver will be recognised, or is there some other trickyness that will have the same effect?FYI: I did contact the vendor: "there is no W

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

Windows 10 2004 get a boot crash after enable Hyper-V with the latest Intel WiFi driver

I have viewed those links but none of them has solved so I suggest you try the below method to see if it works.

Step 1:

Go to the search box next to the Windows icon and type Device Manager

Step 2:

Under Device Manager expand Display Adapter

Step 3:

Right-click on Intel Wifi Adapter and select Properties then click on Disable.

Step 4:

Then enable the Hyper V

Step 5:

Restart PC

Step 6:

Then go to Device Manager and then expand Network Adapter

Step 7:

Right-click on Intel Wifi Adapter and select Properties

Step 8:

Select the Drivers tab

Step 9:

Click on Uninstall Device

Step 7:

Restart PC and Intel Wifi driver will be automatically installed

Step 8:

Verify the issue.

Let me know the status after performing the above.
