Windows 10: Is there any way to get the Microsoft YourPhone app to work without me going insane from...

I have been trying for ELEVEN not an exaggeration - ELEVEN goddamn months trying to connect my phone. NOT ONCE has it ever worked. It repeatedly takes me in circles with the stupid QR codes. My phone says I am connected. My phone has the link to windows app. It REFUSES to connect on the laptop side.It tells me to scan the QR code through the Link To Windows app with the camera. There is NO camera function in the Link to Windows app. I have looked. Repeatedly. Everywhere. It's NOT there. There's NO option to use a camera. I try using the PIN. I get NO notification to enter the PIN. This blood

YourPhone .exe missing

Version is 21H2

I went thru the steps to the extent I could.

Yourphone does not appear in my list of apps Maybe because i don't have yourphone.exe

When I tried the last step I got a message that Deployment failed, package could not be registered, Internal error 0x80070087, etc. I can send you a copy of the message if you want

 

Another YourPhone failure

As of yesterday YourPhone worked as well as it can, which is usable at best. Today YourPhone stopped connecting to my particular phone and nothing has worked. The Windows 11 computer says it is connected to the phone but the phone says it is not connected to the computer. I cannot remove the phone from the list of Bluetooth devices, removal always fails. All the "fixes" posted by Microsoft are, no surprise here, useless. Both the computer and the phone otherwise stably connect to every other Bluetooth device, just not to each other. This is ridiculous because nothing has changed, no software updates on either end, nothing. This is not the first time this has happened with YourPhone using this computer and this phone or other Windows computers, 10 and 11, and other Android phones. As usual the Microsoft Bluetooth troubleshooter finds no problems. again no surprise there. There must be a way to completely uninstall every trace of YourPhone and then start over but that seems not to be the case. The best I get to is a screen that says connection is in progress but nothing happens after letting it run for more than an hour. Surely someone at Microsoft actually understands and knows how to fix YourPhone problems but that does not seem to be the case based on what I see via web search. I don't think Microsoft understands that most people who encounter problems with YourPhone, which is most people who have tried to use it, simply give up and consider it another in a very long list of Microsoft failures. I get that Microsoft does not control messaging end to end like Apple but Microsoft needs to either fix YourPhone or remove it entirely from Windows.

 

YourPhone stuck at 60%

On my Windows 10 computer (OS Build 18363.657), I launched the YourPhone app to see how it works with my phone.

I open the YourPhone app and click iOS since I have an iPhone. Then it just sits there at 60% with a message under it.

"Please open Microsoft Edge and sign in with *** Email address is removed for privacy ***".

I opened the Edge browser and ensured I was logged on. I am on the Edge browser right now. I left it over night. Still there.

I tried rebooting and same thing.

Does this app now work?
