Windows 10: Is there any way to hide an application from the "Program Files" folder?

If I were to hide/rename/tamper with it in any way, the application just uninstalls itself. Any way to hide it without this happening? Thanks

Hi, there's probably something about your requirements or file structure or file copying that will make almost any suggestion inappropriate, so here are some ideas, which are to be considered illustrative rather than directly relevant. The rest will be up to you, together with any ideas others will offer.

a. Put files per year in a folder for that year. Then use permissions.
b. Put files for the years you don't want visible in a different place.
c. If your only option is one gigantic folder with all files from all years, which needs careful sorting and handling, this appears to offer a way to hide (and presumably unhide) multiple selected files using a context menu option:

If this program is not suitable, you can search for another that operates like that.
Functionally, that may be about as simple as you'll get.

You've not said which programs you've looked at, so you've probably already decided this is not suitable anyway. Such is life.

Locking/Hiding Folders.

Hi,
I'm just looking for another program that would let me hide/lock some of the folders on my computer. Of course, easy to use and doesnt effect my computer in anyway.

I am using "Folder Lock" at the moment, but it is causing some trouble with blue screens popping up randomly (the windrvNT.Sys). I did a little research and was told that I either need to uninstall Folder Lock or rename the windrvNT.sys file, but it's such a pain; so thats why I'm here looking for a better program to lock/hide my folders/files.

*Note: I'm looking for a "program", not a trick *Eek! .

Hiding Applications

Alright, this is not about minimizing applications. I want some way to hide an application from the taskbar (not closing it) and a simple way to open it back up without losing data. Any way how to do it?
