Windows 10: Is there any way to see what files windows is indexing in real time?

So Windows is acting up on me again with Indexing. It's constantly chugging away on one of my storage drives but not the other 3 drives and it's using a nice bit of CPU power too.I rebuilt the Index a few days ago, hoping that would sort it, and it seemed to be fine for a while, but then it began the chugging on the same drive again today.I'm wondering if there's some file that it's having trouble with, and so I'd like to know what file it's trying to index, in real time, so that I can narrow down the issue. Is this possible with Windows, or some other 3rd party application?There's definitel

What do you mean when you say 'how can I change Publisher to the other filter ?'

Run the Search and Indexing Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with search and indexing of files and folders. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check the status of the issue. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Indexing off and cannot get it back on

Thank you for posting your response.

We appreciate the time and effort that you have invested in to fix the issue. I would suggest that you return the settings back to
Local System Account from This Account under
Log on tab and perform the steps below.

• Rebuild the Windows Search Index and check. Refer to these steps. This can be used if you are able to go through the
  Indexing Options in Control Panel.
• On the search bar type Indexing Options and click on it.
• Click the Advanced button at the bottom of the
  Indexing Options window. This displays a new window titled Advanced Options.
• Click the Index Settings tab if it isn’t selected already.
• Click the Rebuild button to delete and rebuild the file index.
• Click OK to confirm.

Windows 10 has a search indexing service that creates as index of all files in your Windows 10 that greatly improves look up speed. We would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to add folders to Indexing Options.

1. Open Indexing Options by searching for it in search bar.
   
2. Click on Modify and choose the folders in the
   Change selected locations.
   
3. Then click on OK and Windows will immediately start indexing the new folder.
