Windows 10: is there any way to see what on your computer with a monitor screen before it turns screens...

hey so my laptops screen is broken but no problem I use a monitor but I think it updated or something because when I tried power it on but it does go to the sing in page but and then powers off like 15 to 30 sec after i tried look I don't see any updates for it but I don't know what to do its a gwtn156-7bl runs on windows 11 just wondering if there was any other option or if I have to buy I new screen which cost up to 60$

Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.

 

Monitor will not display anything after computer turns off screen for power saving.

My screen is set to the default time to turn off to save power. Just built a new computer. I used the same graphics card, monitor, mouse, and keyboard as my old computer. Unfortunately, it seems something is wrong with the new computer that causes it not
to turn back on. The fans blow, the lights on the keyboard are on, and when I move my mouse, or press a key on my keyboard, I hear and see the screen turn on, and the backlight is lit, but it stays black, flashes "Display Port" at the top left a couple times,
then goes back to sleep. It receives a signal, but with nothing on the screen... The only way to get my computer screen to display anything again is to restart my computer by holding down the power button.

This is not an issue with my graphics card or monitor. Tried my old computer again and it has no such issue.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Updated Windows.

Reinstalled Windows.

Reinstalled Graphics drivers.

Tried a different graphics card.

Tried different monitor.
