Windows 10: Is there any way to tether my phones 5g to my PC without using a USB cable?

I'm using a WIndows 10 PC. My Virgin Media internet will be expiring soon and I want to know if I could just use my 5g mobile phone's internet instead rather than wasting £60 a month on paying for broadband with Virgin/ Sky etc. The only way I know how to tether is by connecting my phone to the PC via USB. Is there any way to tether without using a USB cable? I don't want my phone to be limited to being connected to the pc all day, I need my phone with me around the house. Is there any way I can get my PC to use my phone's 5g without the need for connecting via USB? I don't think my PC has

Battery is a non issue as it runs off usb power while tethered.

Phone life wont shorten as that's what the phone does anyway which is transfer data.

Damaged USB ports (either of PC and the Phone) or the USB cable can also result in random USB tethering disconnections.

If the USB cable and the ports are fine, you should check for the USB driver installed on your computer. A corrupted or outdated USB driver on your laptop can cause unstable tethering.

You can update the USB driver installed on your computer by following the steps below.

1. Type Device Manager on Windows search
2. Open Device Manager
3. Look for Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device
4. Right click on it and select the update driver option

After the driver update, reboot your laptop. I suggest you to restart your smartphone also.

I spent 5 years living in an area where my only option was tethering a phone and using 3g and later 4g lte. I never had a phone fail from streaming video, torrenting or any of the other things you listed. We are talking 400+ GB a month for years. I replaced my phone when the 2 year contract ended each time.
