Windows 10: is there anyway to eliminate screen tearing without vertical sync?

i have a laptop with 60hz refresh rate and i run it on 1920x1080 resolution and windows 11, i have an amd gpu, here is the things i tried: updated graphics drivers, OpenGL triple buffering, set scale to 100% instead of the recommended 125%the reason i want to eliminate screen tearing and not use vertical sync is because of the input delay that is visible in games when vertical sync is enabled, i also want to mention that i run all my games in fullscreen, but in some of them screen tearing isn't as much of an issue

Hello @Cerawy.

I’m assuming you are attempting to turn on v-sync for Firefox, the thing that often causes screen tearing?

Windows 10(1067) Screen Tearing

Hello,everyone!

When I am playing Minecraft, there is screen tearing on my laptop.

My computer is windows 10, but I downupgrade to windows 8.1 now.

In windows 8.1,isn’t screen tearing. But in window 10, there is screen tearing.

Is there anyway to fix screen tearing in Windows 10.

I want to use windows 10 very much, but the problem forces me to use windows 8.1.

I hope someone can help to solve the problem and make me use windows 10 fluently.

My computer equipment : ASUS ROG G551JW I7-4720HQ Intel 4600 / GTX 960M 8GB RAM

GTX 780Ti SLI Screen Tearing Questions

Hello All,

I am new to Nvidia GPU's (came from two HD 4890's in crossfire) and I have a few questions regarding GTX 780Ti in SLI.

I currently have two EVGA GTX 780Ti SC w/ACX in SLI, and I noticed that if I do not have V-Sync active there is a lot of screen tearing (mainly in AC4). I currently have a 60Mhz monitor, but I will be planning to upgrade to a 120+Mhz monitor soon.

Here are my questions:
1) Will the only way for me to remove the screen tearing is keep V-Sync on?
2) Is there a setting that I am missing (within the Nvidia software or other) to eliminate the screen tearing (other than V-Sync)?
3) If I want to go to a 120+Mhz monitor will there still be screen tearing (with V-Sync off)?
4) If I go with a 120+Hhz monitor will V-Sync set to the refresh rate of the monitor (120+Mhz) or will it stay at 60 fps (60Mhz)?
5) Would a G-Sync monitor (without V-Sync active) eliminate the screen tearing?
6) Would a Lightboost monitor do anything (still not exactly sure what Lightboost does)?
