Is there any difference between physically removing your laptop battery and disabling battery using Device Manager?

HI, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Rest assured, disabling the 'Microsoft ACPI-Complaint Control Method Battery; is the exact same as physically removing the battery from the laptop, when you remove that driver, Windows will not see the battery and the battery will never ger charged, Windows will see your laptop as a PC, not a laptop and you are correct in disabling that device, not uninstalling it, Windows will never automatically re-enable the device.

  3. Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method: What has to do with battery?

I bought for second time a battery replacement for my old laptop (2012). I don't know how exactly works laptop's battery market but it wasn't a original one. The battery brand is "Green Cell" and the model "PT6V8"
After 2 months of using that battery I notices various issues and often crashes (suddenly shutdowns) even when the laptop was plugged in. When I removed the battery everything returns to normal functioning. I complaint to the seller and his answer was to uninstall that software device (Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method).

Do you agree with this suggestion?

laptop battery wont charge after latest update

    1. Shutdown your laptop.

    2. Remove the battery.

    3. Connect the AC power adapter to your laptop.

    4. Power on the laptop

    5. Open the Device Manager by typing Devmgmt.msc into Start Menu or from Control Panel.

    6. Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s okay if you only have 1).

    7. Shutdown the laptop.

    8. Insert the battery.

    9. Power on the laptop.

If above suggestions wont resolve the battery charge issue then follow below steps.

    Step 2

    1. Shutdown the laptop.

    2. Remove the battery.

    3. Start the laptop with only AC adapter connected to laptop.

    4. When you login to Windows OS connect the battery while Windows OS working.
