Windows 10: Is there some way to install W10 and update up to 1709 only?(Avoiding 1803 Update?)

Hello,


It is known about the numerous problems with the new W10 update 1803 but i was not aware of it until.... I decided to perform fresh install.


I bought new M.2 SSD and decided to perform a fresh install on it and enjoy it with some other upgraded peripherals, well this fresh install invention has been a nightmare for me, and now my PC is unusable because after the auto-update, when reaching the 1803, it gets ver laggy, internet disconnects intermittently, and a lot of common issues as many user were having after the 1803.


Followed procedure:


1- Install my Dics Build 10240 (Formated M.2 PCIe 970 EVO - No other disk connected)

2- Download and install 1803 Updater Tool

3- Performed update normally...

4- Computer unusable.....


So decided to install W10 a 3rd time disabling any update through windows services mods, and that way be able to ask to you, What can i do? Can i install my older 10240 build and update up to 1709 staying away from the 1803 somehow? What are your recommendations? I see lot of complaints around but may be im looking for: "Ok, we identified a problem and created this fix, install it and wait for the next update on august!"


How can i sort this out?

Reinstalling Windows 10 10240 is possible, but if you run Windows Update, its gonna automatically upgrade you to Windows 10 1803.

You need to do the following to install Windows 10 1709 specifically and block Windows 10 1803 from installing.

Step 1: Go to another working computer with Internet access, download Windows 10 1709 from the following link:

Choose the following:

- Windows Final

- Windows 10, version 1709

- Windows 10 Pro + Home

- English

- x64 (64 bit) x32 (32 bit)

Step 2: create a bootable copy
