I was contacted by this email adress today t otell me that 4 of a group email were uncontactable. They were all blue yonder email users. The email told me to contact them and tell them they need their admin to deal with this as it may be a firewall problem. They also advised me to click a link. I didn't. One of the blue yonder recipients has replied and told me that he had received the email no problem. This made me think it may be a scam. so can you tell me if the Microsoft email adress is legitimate please?

OK, so you're confirming that the address, email at microsoft dot microsoft dot com is a legitimate MS email.

Can you tell me how to cancel the account since I don't want an MS acct with the email address at which the email was received?

I just purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and received an email from the above-mentioned email address. The subject was "Make the most of your 24 hours with Windows 10".

I also received an email, subject "Welcome to Windows 10" from the same address on the prior day.

Both landed in my Junk Mail folder and contain numerous links.

Are these legitimate Microsoft communications?
