Windows 10: Is this a security issue. Edge 'InPrivate' is remembering bank login.

If I right click Edge and select 'New InPrivate Window' I get to see the normal expected private browsing screen.

I now do a general search for my bank by typing the bank name into the search box and pressing enter. That brings up Bings suggestions... as expected. I click my bank and go to their login page and Edge has all my details already filled in as soon as I click on the appropriate boxes.

Surely this should not be happening. The InPrivate window should have no knowledge of what I do under the normal Edge browser.

Is this a browser issue or a W10 issue. If I search for TenForums using 'InPrivate' I am NOT logged (as expected and as it should be).

Any ideas.

Edge drops the internet

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you use a new InPrivate window. To open a new InPrivate window, follow the steps below:

• Open Edge.
• Click on the three dots icon on the upper-right part of the screen.
• Click New InPrivate window.

If the issue persists, we recommend that you run the Network troubleshooter. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems. To run it, follow the steps below:

• Click Start.
• In the search bar, type Network problems, and then select
  Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
• Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

To isolate the cause of the issue, turn off any third-party security software or firewalls in your system. If possible,
try moving your PC or laptop closer to the router or access point.

Failed to login into dlink dnr-202l using microsoft edge

Thank you for your reply. I did what you suggested; but the same issue showed where failed to login with user ID and password; however, the same user ID and password work when using Internet Explorer.

First steps:

• Launch Microsoft Edge
• Click more options (...)
• Select "Settings"
• Click button "Choose what to clear" under "Clear browsing data"
• "Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data, Cached data and files" are selected.
• Click "Clear" button
• Open new tab by clicking "+" sign
• Enter IP address to open device (DNR-202L) login screen
• In the login dialog screen, enter the user ID and password and click "OK" button
• Dialog login screen shows again. Do this step 3 times and get message

Access Error: 401 -- Unauthorized

Access Denied, Authorization enabled.

Second steps:

• Launch Microsoft Edge in private mode
• Enter IP address to open device (DNR-202L) login screen
• In the login dialog screen, enter the user ID and password and click "OK" button
• Dialog login screen shows again. Do this step 3 times and get message

Access Error: 401 -- Unauthorized

Access Denied, Authorization enabled.
