Windows 10: is this a valid MS Security help line: 855-491-2878

Discus and support is this a valid MS Security help line: 855-491-2878 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I was on FaceBookFB and tried to open an instagram/message and wham!, I get this stuff saying windows defender detected a Trojan/virus and displayed...     is this a valid MS Security help line: 855-491-2878


    I was on FaceBookFB and tried to open an instagram/message and wham!, I get this stuff saying windows defender detected a Trojan/virus and displayed what looked like a legit MS pop up with thenumber 855-491-2878 that I could click on or call....I did neither and need to find out if it is a valid tel. no.What I did was to restart my desktop but when I opened my browser it was still there.Next, restarted PC and when Browser opened up I closed all the tabs.Finally restarted PC and opened up my tabs again without FB and it didn't come up, so it appears thatthe virus, etc. is located in Facebook

    Is 1-855-634-1706 a valid microsoft number?

    Is 1-855-634-1706 a valid microsoft number? My other laptop is locked down. It has a message that it has been locked due to a spyware breach. It says I must call microsoft to have someone walk me through steps to fix the problem. Help please.
