  1. Is this amount of reads fine for SAMSUNG MZVLB256HAHQ-000L7 : 256.1 GB NVMe SSD?

I Installed CrystalDiskMark recently, worried as UserBenchmark scores returned that the ssd was performing 10% worse than average. I think the TBW rating of this drive is around 150TBW, SAMSUNG MZVLB256HAHQ-000L7 : 256.1 GB I face an overheating issue frequentlythese are the total host reads, writes, and the power on hours.Should i be concerned?

    AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.59 GHz, 16.0 GB RAM

    Western Digital 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD with 44.3 GB Free

I want to clone or make a duplicate copy of everything on the 256GB SSD to the new 2TB SSD including the Windows OS.

Can anyone provide a much-needed step-by-step process (No 3rd party additional Software to Purchase) or a video that show a step by step on how to complete this full 256 GB SSD Transfer to 2TB SSD.

    Just purchased:

    Western Digital 2TB WD Blue SN570 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive SSD - Gen3 x4 PCIe 8Gb/s, M.2 2280, Up to 3,500 MB/s - WDS200T3B0C

    Plus a

M.2 NVMe Enclosure to install the 2TB drive and clone/duplicate/copy OS & Files to it.

  3. Samsung PM971 NVMe SSD Surfaces

Last week, we were introduced to Samsung's upcoming PM981 SSDs, which should give way to higher-performance parts such as the 980 series. Today, however, it's the slightly lower-tier PM971 platform that has surfaced, which should give way to Samsung 970 series of NVMe SSDs. Remember that the company seems to be moving away from their "EVO" and "PRO" monikers as performance differentiators, and this new nomenclature series should replace it come launch time.

The PM971-based SSDs will feature a 22mm x 16mm x 1.5mm multi-chip package that includes Samsung's Proton controller, LPDDR4 DRAM cache, and V-NAND flash into a single chip. As was to be expected from a more mainstream solution, performance will be noticeably lower (at least in pure numbers) when compared to the higher-tier 980 series.

Whereas the 512 GB version of the 980 series is expected to deliver 3,000 MB/s read and 1,800 MB/s write speeds (sequential), the 970 series' 512 GB part should deliver up to 1,500 MB/s sequential read and up to 900 MB/s sequential write speeds - which are more than enough for all but the most demanding users, and shouldn't deliver that different of an experience.

Samsung claims random performance up to 190,000 IOPS read and 170,000 IOPS write, which are in line with other known performance metrics. Initial capacities should be available in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB parts, though with the advent of higher density 64-layer TLC and QLC V-NAND on the horizon, capacities are very likely to increase in time.

Samsung Also Develops Industry's First 2.5-Inch NVMe SSD for Enterprises

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world leader in advanced memory technology, today announced that it has developed the industry's first 2.5-inch (SFF-8639) NVM Express (NVMe) PCIe solid state drive (SSD), to open up the high-end enterprise storage market. The newly developed high-speed 1.6 TB NVMe SSD provides a sequential read speed at 3,000 MB/s, which allows it to process 500 GB (gigabytes) of data (equivalent to 100 Full HD movies 5 GB in length) in less than 3 minutes. When compared to other products with similar specifications, this new SSD is 14 times faster than a high-end enterprise HDD for server use, and six times faster than Samsung's former high-end enterprise SSD storage.

The XS1715's random read performance reaches up to 740,000 IOPS (Input Output Operations Per Second), which is more than 10 times as fast as existing high-end SSD storage options. The new NVMe SSD XS1715 comes in 400 GB, 800 GB and 1.6 TB (terabytes) versions. It can also be found on the NVMe Integrators List (IL), which makes it an easy-to-manage and highly reliable solution for data center and server storage customers. System performance can be improved dramatically by upgrading to the NVMe SSD XS1715 from a 2.5-inch HDD or a 2.5-inch SATA SSD.

Over the next several years, Samsung expects to continue to develop a variety of NVMe SSD products with increasingly high performance levels.

By strengthening its eco-friendly cooperation with global enterprise customers through the production of low-power (green) NVMe SSDs, Samsung will endeavor to help its server and storage customers maximize the efficiency of their IT investments. For more information, visit this page.
