Hello, there is a process that runs in the background in the details section and also in the application history of the task manager called nissrv C: / programdata / Microsoft / Windows defender / platform / 4.18. 24090. 11-0 but in the properties section in security there is something that appears as an unknown account, also the same with MsMpEng, you could check on your PC if an unknown account or some digits like S-1-15 ... also appear ... they have read and execute permissions and read the rest already and for both it is like that, but I entered C: and at first Programdata does not appear,

    :)

How to "set affinity" for msmpeng when getting "access is denied"

    Hi,

I'm unable to set or change process affinity for msmpeng (Windows Security Virus & threat protection). I'm logged-in with admin privileges. System is Windows 10 Pro 64bit. Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.928).

Does anyone know the steps to follow to achieve this? Thanks!

White pixel/dot top left corner of screen on Windows 7, Help!!!

Make sure you're work's all saved, nothing's running, disconnected from the internet, etc. then I would start getting rid of the less important ones first (acrotray, btplayerctrl, fnplicensing, heciserver, idman, iemonitor, iprosetmonitor, jhi_service, jusched, mim, mmdiag, mscams64, msmpeng, msseces, nissrv, nusb3mon, obexsrv, ravcpl64, snippingtool, unsecapp, wisptis) until it disappears. I would also suggest killing dwm.exe, but if you already tried that and it didn't work it's not likely to work.

As long as nothing important is happening it shouldn't cause any damage, but I don't guarantee anything.
