Windows 10: Is this power connection broken or overly used? - New monitor

Hi!

After having some bad luck with my last monitor from a different brand and another store, that monitor came with a dead pixel, I tried my luck with a new monitor from another brand and another store.
After thoroughly going through the package on my new monitor, everything seemed brand new, same with the package it came in, that seemed to be unopened before.

Cannot connect my monitor

Describe the steps you are taking to add this monitor. It is supposed to be "plug and Play".

If you can, give us a screen capture of the message. Or the FULL and EXACT error message text.

• Try plugging the monitor to the computer with the power off on both the computer and the monitor.
  
• Power up the monitor.
  
• Power up the computer.

Things to do once connected new G-Sync monitor

I'm getting my G-Sync monitor today.

I think I have to take the following steps:

• Connect 1440p G-sync monitor with DP cable
• Connect second 1080p 60Hz monitor by HDMI
• Startup PC
• Reinstall display driver
• Restart PC (I always do that after display driver install)
• Activate G-Sync in NV control panel (I believe also V-Sync is auto on after that?)
• Set my 1440p monitor from 1080p to 1440p
• Calibrate my 1440p monitor

Also ingame, I should turn off V-Sync?
Are there any problems running a second 60Hz 1080p monitor?

Is there anything else I should do/know?
