HI Please help me with the following, i am seeing this as suspicious traffic when i type netstat -an on CMD. Cut and pasted the information. Kindly let me know is it quite normal for 127.0.0.1 to be remotely conneted on to 127.0.0.1 and also seeing lots of UDP traffic as ports opened up Proto Local Address Foreign Address State TCP 0.0.0.0:135 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:445 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:5040 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:5357 0.0.0.0:0 LI

  2. Odd traffic while Wireshark capture loopback interface - normal?

Hello, I am learning Wireshark and auditing packets on my home PC and noticed some odd packets sourced from loopback to loopback. Is this normal Windows traffic? Not sure what to make of it? Any ideas if this is something Windows does? Thanks. Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18362.657]

    Question about loopback-traffic

Yes, 127.x.x.x and ::1 is loopback traffic and is never routed outside local PC.

Windows firewall doesn't need rules to allow loopback traffic but there may be exceptions in cases when all outbound traffic is blocked by default.
