Windows 10: Is uninstalling fonts that you’ve downloaded before safe?

I know that uninstalling some fonts can cause search and settings functions not able to open, and icons on the taskbar turning into squares. But is it safe to uninstall the fonts you’ve installed because they weren’t there before?

Step 1:

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Right click and click on install.
• Check if you are able to view the fonts in documents.

Or

Step 2:

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click on fonts.
• Now, drag and drop the downloaded fonts in the font’s folder.

accessing downloaded font

Hello Lori,

To get your downloaded fonts on the list of fonts for Windows 10, kindly follow the steps below:

• Open the Fonts folder by typing fonts on Cortana's search field and press Enter.
• While the Fonts folder is open, access the folder where your downloaded font is stored.
• Now that both folders are open, drag and drop your downloaded font from the downloads folder to the Fonts folder.

Safe-to-Remove (uninstall) Fonts in W10.1903

I know removing the zillions stock windows fonts is pretty tempting, especially considering they're all loaded entierely on the kernel directly (system resource and security consideration), but i've had unfortunate experience in the past trying to perform such a thing.. (removed font breaking stuff) ..

So I was wondering if there is such a list of Windows fonts that safe to remove, or one that mention for each, the impact of removing each. (or both, ideally)
