    Is updating to another supported windows version mandatory?


    Just got the pop up notification in the bottom right saying I need to restart. I really am not in the mood to download a hour long update for windows, but will this damage my system or anything like that if I keep the old version? Thanks.

    Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

    Nothing is misleading about it. Updates (including drivers) ARE forced in 10, and ironically, Windows 7/8 are still supported for several years, making your post more misleading than the title.

    I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.
