So... Is Windows 10 Firewall default settings secure enough for activating IPv6 without any router firewall? My IPS have activated support for IPv6, but they say they have not implemented any firewall for the IPv6 in their router which I'm using.

I have Windows 10 with latest updates 64 bit. All my other devices are also modern and up-to-date.

Can I activate IPv6 and rest assured that the built-in security is good enough on my devices without any router firewall?
I have a very healthy understanding of the Internet, so I do not visit dangerous sites or anything like that. I am also the only user in my Local LAN, and I trust all my devices Is Windows 10 Firewall default settings secure enough for activating IPv6 without any... :)

    Looking forward for an answer.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 can not get IPv6 address automatically?

Downgrade did not help, still the same issue is present. Just to let you guys know I´m running default windows security software (defender + windows firewall), no 3rd party firewalls or other installed. Also firewall and any other security program would
not cause the symptoms I have noticed, they would either block IPv6/dhcpv6 completely or allow everything. So the only thing left is the ipconfig or dhcpv6 client software that windows runs, but how can I (typical consumer) make a bug report to Microsoft to
    get any fix?

Windows Firewall security alert keeps popping up.

    Hello,

Windows Firewall plays an important part in helping to protect your computer against virus and security threats. Your concern is cause by a conflicting changes in your security settings. However we suggest that you turn off Security messages for Network
firewall temporarily to check if the issue persists. Follow these steps:

    • Click Start menu.
    • Type Control Panel.
    • Choose System and Security > Security and Maintenance.
    • On the left side, click Change Security and Maintenance settings.
    • Uncheck the box on the left side of Network firewall.
    • Restart your computer.

After an hour, enable Network firewall again. We also recommend that you use another browser and check if the issue persists.

Note: If you disable Windows Firewall for a long period of time, your computer will be more vulnerable to unauthorized access to your network.

    Thanks.
