    marking this under Windows 11 but it's sort of a Win10 question as well. I'm trying to help my mother sort out her computer's applications and I've been comparing them to what I have on my own system. I have a Windows 10 PC and she has a Windows 11 laptop for contextin Settings > Apps > Optional Features, I have an app/feature called "Windows Hello Face", and its description is this: "Windows Hello Face Software Device"in Settings > Apps > Optional Features on the laptop device, there is instead an app/feature called "Facial Recognition Windows Hello". it's description is this: "

    Windows 10 Hello facial recognition feature

    Sounds like a driver issue with the camera: MS requires special IR (infrared) capabilities from cameras for Windows Hello facial recognition to work. You should visit the HP support pages, and make sure you've got the right driver installed for facial recognition.
