Windows 10: Is windows key being MAK going to be a problem in the future?

I have recently purchased a windows 10 activation key though amazon. I have activated my windows using that key but wondered if it was genuine or fake one. I did some googling and installed volume activation management tool. It said my key was genuine but the key type was MAK. But in internet it said it must be either Retail or OEM. So is my key is going to be a problem in future or is my key okay? The MAK is linked to my Microsoft account and i am paranoid that it will cause problem to my Microsoft account. Hi my Windows 10 is activated by Kms server .

I got a man key of Windows 10.

SO, HOW CAN I change from Kms server to MAK key . Pls tell me the required steps and At which step would I need An internet connection.

 

Windows 10 upgrade with Windows 7 MAK Key

Hello,

I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bits acquired through MSDNAA partnership with my previous university.

Problem : after formating and doing multiple fresh installs on my PC, I get "error 0xc004c020" when trying to activate my Windows 7 Pro, which activated fine before (MAK activation count seems to be at 0). Note: I never changed any hardware in my PC, and
my Win7 key was only used on this PC.

Microsoft Support told me to try activating it by phone.

Let's consider phone activation will be successful.

What will happen to my Windows 7 "expired" MAK key (activation count at 0) if I successfully upgrade to Windows 10 after activating my Windows 7 by phone. Will my expired MAK key turn into a retail Windows 10 key, allowing me to do fresh install on this
same PC in the future, OR, will it stay a expired MAK key (for Windows 10), preventing me from doing fresh installs after upgrading ?

Windows 7 Pro MAK Key and Upgrade


The key will be whatever one the computer is currently activated with, which in your case would be the MAK key.
You would have to change the product key to the one on the COA then do the upgrade. That should work.

Right click on Computer then Properties. Use the Change product key link at bottom right.

Is the MAK key from Techsoup? I've upgraded a couple of our 8.1s to 10 with no problems so far.
