  1. Is Windows Task Scheduler 0x0 a permissions-related error and if so how can I correct it?

I have several reddit bots written in Python that are only used on subs I control and they're all triggered on time-based schedule via Task Scheduler.

With one exception they all work flawlessly and I can't figure out why that one constantly returns the 0x0 error.

They're all doing the same basic thing which is executing Python scripts that make posts to subs using content from SQLite databases. All the files and their folders have the same permissions. All the Task properties are identical except for the script name they execute. Also, executing this script manually works perfectly. So it has to be an issue with Task Scheduler, right?

Any advice on how to deal with Task Scheduler will be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Task Scheduler Error

When I access Task Scheduler, an error appears that says SqmUpload_S-1-5-21......... no longer exists. To see the current tasks, click Refresh. However, the same message appears when I click Refresh. I can close the message and it appears the Task Scheduler is OK. A person on the Microsoft boards gave me several steps to follow beginning with booting into Safe Mode. However, I received a message when I accessed Task Scheduler that it doesn't function in Safe Mode.
I did not feel safe following their additional suggestions at that point as I am not that adept at such endeavors. Has anyone else encountered this error and/or found a simple solution? I feel it is caused by some remnant leftover from Windows 7 during the upgrade but this is pure conjecture on my behalf.

    Unable to run Task Scheduler

    Hello Varun,

Let's determine the cause of the issue. To get started, I'd like to get the following information:

    • Is this your first time to encounter this issue? If so, did you make any changes to your computer's configuration prior to this?
    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • Can you also please confirm the current build of your Windows 10?

(Type winver into the Cortana search box, then hit
      Enter
      .)

Meanwhile, I suggest that you try starting the Task Scheduler through command line. To do so, please follow these steps:

    • Open Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type this net start task scheduler and hit Enter.

We're looking forward to your response.
