Windows 10: is windows10 really phasing out backup/file history/sys.image???

There r a few posts about most/all backup options being phased out circulating here in the help forums.

I have tried to contact the persons posting this but none has answered me yet.

Can someone confirm or maybe site some articles about this?I would really appreciate some official info on this rather important issue!

Does System Image Backup include a File History backup

Old title : File History and System Image Backup

What do I look for on my external hard drive to verify that:

1) File History backup was successful (date and size) and that it included all my Outlook files and

2) that my System Image Backup was successful (date and size)?

3) Does Sys Image Bkup include a File History bkup?

[HELP]Image recovery issues

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?

I was going by other advice and articles that suggest that backing up under Update and security/backup is now the way to go. I will try your suggestion.
