Windows 10: Is your Alt key and Win key on your keyboard with "Win" and "MacOS" switch swapped? Try This!

Win 10 keyboard '@' key not working

I am unable to get '@' key from Shift 2 key. somehow the '@' and the ' " ' keys are switched.

I am using Microsoft 'All in one Media' Keyboard. I swap the keyboard with Prolink and the same thing happens. I used the Microsoft keyboard on my Dell Win 7 laptop and the those two keys performed as designed. So Win 10 is causing this incorrect key issue.

Anyone expreience this and any solution?

 

In Windows 10, how can I swap the alt and win keys *on one specific keyboard*?

I recently installed Windows 10 Pro on my Mac via Boot Camp. The left-hand modifier keys on the internal keyboard are, from left to right, Control, Option, and Command. Apple somehow has this configured so that Option is treated as Alt, and Command is treated as Win. I'd like to switch these two keys, but only on the internal keyboard -- I also use an external USB keyboard, with the keys in the typical Windows order, and that already works correctly.

I looked around and couldn't find a good way to do this -- AutoHotKey and SharpKeys seem to affect all input, from what I've read. Any suggestions? I can't imagine I'm the first person to be tripped up by this...

 

Weird keyboard problem - keys getting swapped


It's a bit of a long shot, but if you go to Control Panel > Language > Options does it list more than one input method?

If so, maybe it's switching between them, such as between English UK Keyboard and English US keyboard. I use the US keyboard when typing in a different language in order to use accents (à, á, etc.) and I find that it changes between keyboards on its own accord for reasons unknown (Usually you click Win Key + Spacebar to toggle between different keyboard input languages).
