Windows 10: Issue 153 and 129, marks storahci and disk on my Crucial BX300 SSD, come along with random...

Just clean installed Windows 10 1809 Oct Update, but I encountered the random freeze problem.

It will encounter every hour, which is troubling me like crazy.

Here is the specs of my computer:

Motherboard: MSI B350M mortar

Graphic Card: Galax GTX 1070

Storage: Crucial BX300 240G+2 HDDs

Seems like the problem only exists when I'm using the SSD, it never happened when I'm gaming on HDDs.

I checked some solutions online, in the community as well, I tried to modify the system in the regedit program, also tried installing the chipset drivers of AMD, but it didn't work.

I tried to install the AMD SATA control driver, but it shows no Radeon Graphic card detected, plus there was no way to continue.

Is there any solutions?

Windows 10 1607 - Event Viewer shows Warning disk/storahci 129/153

Hi,

I had Windows 10 1511 on my system with SSD Kingston KC400 256GB.

Everything worked fine, a stable and fast system.

As of update to Windows 10 1607, my system had some kind of freezes (a few seconds or so). It was in fact unusable, because the freezes appeared frequently.

The Event Viewer showed frequently Warning:

Source "disk" (Event ID: 153):

"The IO operation at logical block address 0x27c1ade for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000023) was retried." (I believe the block address changes each time)

Source "storahci" (Event ID: 129):

"Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued."

After clean install of Windows 10 1607 the problem still remained, but after the immediate update of KB3176495 those Warnings doesn't appear that frequently, but still appear.

It looks like KB3176495 fixed it, but not really. Perhaps there should be another KB soon to fix it properly.

Event ID 129 - storahci resetting

Fun twist to the story.

The driver works fine with the SSD that houses my installation of Windows - no more Event 129 errors.

New problem: the 2nd SSD that houses a ton of my data now gets Event 15, 129 and 153 errors - it's using the new controller, which is apparently too slow to keep up.

Sorry to keep this going, but it's a real issue - my system hangs just as frequently as it did before, but doesn't recover after sitting quietly for 5 minutes they way it used to.

Bad controller driver I think, but I don't know if I have another choice in the matter.

Can I assign both disks to the Intel Driver I have installed?

The thing is, we are hitting the limits of SATA, and any performance differences measured in benchmarks isn't really going to be noticed by the user.
