    Issue After Windows 11 Update: Laptop Restarts Instead of Resuming from Sleep


    After the latest Windows 11 update, I’ve been experiencing an issue where my laptop doesn’t resume properly from sleep mode. When I unplug the laptop, close the lid to put it to sleep, and then open the lid, it restarts instead of resuming from where I left off.There’s no issue with the battery, and I’ve already checked the power options and set the correct plans, but the problem persists. This only started happening after the recent Windows update.Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a solution? Any help would be appreciated!

    windows restart when i resume it from sleep

    Hi!

    i deleted windows event log file since then i had sleeping issue .

    i put my laptop in to sleep mode and after few minutes i try to resume it by clicking on the keyboard key

    but it dose not work so i press the power button then it restart instead of resuming .

    How can i fix this ?

    [FIX] Asus Laptop restarts instead of resuming from sleep or hibernate

    I've had a nasty problem for months (basically since Fall Creator's Update) where my Asus laptop would restart instead of resuming from sleep mode or hibernate. I tried completely reinstalling Windows from scratch and messing with drivers and nothing worked.

    I finally fixed it today thanks to a solution on another forum and wanted to share: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?74767-G750JM-Auto-restart-when-wake-up-from-sleep-mode

    The solution is to run the Asus WinFlash utility with the /nodate flag. This lets you force a BIOS update even though you have the latest BIOS already. This way you can reinstall your BIOS. Something must have gotten corrupted with it because the reinstall
    fixed the problem.
