Windows 10: Issue: headphone output works only after switching to internal speakers and back

    Issue: headphone output works only after switching to internal speakers and back


    I have a problem where every time I plug in a pair of headphones audio jack, its output is not played out unless I first switch to the internal speaker and then back. When I first plug it in, it is detected and automatically selected as the default device. The settings app even shows the volume bar dancing to indicate the output being produced. But the headphones don't actually receive anything.This is especially problematic when I'm somewhere I can't play things out loud, because I'm forced to first play something from the internal speaker before the headphone output works.I would be gratef

    Win 10 - 2004 update - internal speakers but no headphones

    Wired headphones. Usually when plugged in the audio to the internal speaker is cut-off and switched to headphone. When headphones are plugged in now this does not happen

    "Audio input and output devices"

    2 x Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)

    No headphones listed

    BTW this is true for 4 other Lenovo machines I have - no headphones listed

    internal speakers and headphones not working


    Hello everyone

    I upgraded to windows 10 yesterday, and since i did my internal speakers and my headphones are not working anymore. I have a microphone called blue yeti wich can be used as an output. It's the only output that works for me. If i go to the audio output manager it's the only device i can selecet. If i unplug it i get the error:"no audio devices installed" i tried to install drivers for everything but nothing helped. i really hope someone can help me because i need my sound back(not even the internal speakers are working as i said D: )

    Hello everyone

    I upgraded to windows 10 yesterday and now i don't have any sound left. My internal labtop speakers don't get recognized and so are my headphones. i have a microphone(blue yeti) wich chan be used as a output, and it is the only one that works. I cheked the output in the device manager and the only thing i was able to see there was the microphone. If i unplut the microphone i receive the error:"no audio output installed"

    I tried to install some drivers, nothing worked. My headphones don't work and neither do my labtop internal speakers. I really hope someone can help me with this problem
