Windows 10: Issue regarding keyboard input delay

Laptop specifications: Laptop model - Dell G15 5511 processor - Core i5 - 11260 Integrated graphics - Intel UHD Dedicated graphics - NVIDIA RTX 3050When typing, there is a delay on the screen where characters do not immediately appear, the input seems to freeze momentarily, and after a short pause, all the delayed characters are displayed in bulk. This issue repeats consistently. This issue is only seen when the laptop runs on battery power. Also this issue is only seen on the applications using the integrated Intel UHD graphics.I use Ubuntu 24.0

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps

Method 1: Add input language

• Press Windows Button and start typing Control panel
• Click on Clock, language and Region
• Click on Language and click on Keyboard Layout
• And you can add the input Language for keyboard and check if it helps

Method 2: Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your touch Screen. Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter

Keyboard in input field problem (not english nor french)

Hi,

I realize the inconvenience caused to you regarding the keyboard language. I will certainly assist you.

Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

1. What is the make and model of the computer\keyboard?

2. Have you tried connecting other keyboards and check if the issue persists?

I suggest you to remove the other keyboard languages apart from English Language
and check if the issue still persists.

Follow the below steps for the same.

• Type Windows + X and then select Control Panel
• Select Languages.
• In Keyboard layout select the language.
• Select the other languages apart from the English language in the input method and then select Remove.
