Windows 10: Issue with DAC-X6 after Windows Security Update KB5050009

Would it be possible for Windows to look into the following?I spent way more time troubleshooting this than I’d like to admit when I first ran into the issue. Below is my conclusion.I believe the issue is tied specifically to the following security update. The patch notes mention that the security update is designed to block drivers with known security flaws. So, it seems likely that either it’s a false positive, or the driver does indeed have a security vulnerability that needs to be addressed by FX-Audio.There does seem to be a way to disable the driver block in windows security without havi

Windows 7 Ultimate (64) Security updates not installing.

I have been having problems in installing the updates that I have listed below. For each update I attempted to install them individually but they would not install. I also downloaded the SURT 6.1 KB947821 v27. The problem has been going on now for about 2 months. (whenever the issue with the updates comes to mind I am never near my pc). Thank you in advance.

Schiit Hel usb DAC not recognized

I have been having similar issues in Windows 11 with my Hel 2, and while it's not pretty the following has worked for me:

1. Unplug the USB from the computer and flip the DAC power off
   
2. Power the DAC back on and wait a minute
   
3. Plug the USB back in
   

When that fails (and it does sometimes with symptoms of popping/crackling sounds and audio skipping) SHUT DOWN Windows, don't restart do a full power off, power off the DAC, boot Windows back up then power on the DAC. Really irritating, I am certain it's not an issue with the DAC as it works flawlessly on the same computer/USB port in Ubuntu and it only started happening recently after some update.

This has been suggested to Microsoft by many users on many forums, suggestion sites, user voice, etc.

Please consider that Windows Phone cannot be considered a legitimate music playback platform without support for external DACs.

Both Android and Apple support this.

I would love to be able to listen to my Xbox Music subscription using an audiophile external DAC.

Please raise this issue internally.
