Windows 10: Issue with downloading visual C++ redistibutable

When I attempt to download the most current X64 version of the Visual C++ redistributable it gives me an error saying that there is already a download in progress. How do I correct? I have restarted multiple times.I am downloading from this link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170.

NFSMW Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library Debug Assertion Failed?

Just about to complete NFSMW and the it CTD and this popped up.



Never seen this before.

BTW I also in add/remove I have two Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistibutable listed.
I'm only supposed to have one listed right?

And would this cause the issue with Need for Speed Most Wanted?

 

Visual C++ 2015 Redistibutable (x64) 14.0.23026 error 0x80240017 - Windows 10

Whenever I try to install Visual C++ 2015 Redistibutable (x64), which I need for a particular program, I am met with the error "Setup Failed" and the code 0x80240017 - Unspecified error. I am running windows 10 64 bit os. Here is a link to the log file I
